Dec 18, 2018 | 11:25 AM

The Roughriders announced Tuesday morning that defensive tackle Zack Evans has signed a contract extension that will keep him in green and white for the foreseeable future.

Evans, 28, returned to the Roughriders in 2018 after the club lost him in the Ottawa Redblacks expansion draft, where he played four seasons.

Over seven seasons in the league, he’s made 102 defensive tackles, 23 sacks, recovered five fumbles and caught one interception.

He started all 18 regular season games for the Roughriders this season collecting 15 defensive tackles and one quarterback sack. He also tallied four fumble recoveries, returning one for a touchdown.
