Man charged in connection to home invasion with weapon

The Meadow Lake RCMP have made an arrest in connection to a home invasion on Monday.

The RCMP said they responded to a call of a home invasion just after 4 p.m. involving a firearm on the 600 block of 7th Ave. E. in Meadow Lake. The investigation indicated it was not a random attack and police don’t believe the public’s safety was at risk.

On Tuesday, the Meadow Lake RCMP arrested Cassidy Dillon Regan, 23 without incident. in connection with the home invasion  

He has been charged with many criminal code offences, some of which include break and enter, use of a firearm while committing an indictable offence of break and enter, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats.

Regan has been remanded and will make his first court appearance today at 9:30 a.m. in Meadow Lake Provincial Court.
