Nasty weather “possible” for Meadow Lake region: Environment Canada

Nov 27, 2018 | 5:00 AM

Snow and possibly freezing rain are in the forecast for the Meadow Lake, Big River and Loon Lake areas today and tomorrow, according to a specal weather statement issued by Environment Canada.

The weather system which is currently moving across across southern Saskatchewan, is expected to intensify as it tracks into the northern grainbelt and eastern portions of Saskatchewan. Some parts of central and northwest Saskatchewan could see upwards of 10 centimetres of snow by late Wednesday. Freezing rain is also likely with this system.

Highway conditions could obviously become quite treacherous if the weather changes. Travellers are encouraged to check the highway hotline before venturing out.
